I was born in the Peruvian Andes and lived there, at over 12,000 feet, for many years - tracking the movement of the orbiting satellites and watching the thousands of stars twinkling in the clear, crisp nights. It may explain my fascination with everything space. I studied to be an aerospace engineer and worked for NASA where I met many astronauts who came to train on the Space Shuttle Simulation. (My character, Jett Keystone in The Feelings Are the Same series, is not based on any one of them.)
I live in the Bay Area with a large number of my extended family (parents, sisters, sometimes both sons) and with our three (sometimes four) cats. I continue writing about history and technology, and of course, science.
